Coach Steven Makamson has a passion for helping men be their best, achieve their goals, and follow their dreams. He has worked with men for over 20 years, 16 of which was spent as a high school varsity basketball head coach. During this time, Coach Makamson led his teams to over 400 wins, two state championships, and was named “Coach of Year” twice. Although he is pleased of those accomplishments, he is more proud of the impact that he has had on the lives of the young men he coached. Through the sport of basketball, leading men’s groups at church and school, and most recently as a life coach, Steven uses his gift of drawing out the greatness in others so they can live the life of a champion. He is married to the love of his life, Heidi. They live in Mississippi and together they have three wonderful children: Owen, Jensen, and Jake. Coach Makamson has great enthusiasm for hunting and fishing adventures.  Bass and red fishing are among his favorite, as well as dove and duck hunting. He especially loves getaway trips with Heidi, family vacations, and watching his children come alive at the various activities that they enjoy.
